Up to £850 per day – 6 months - Inside IR35 – Remote WorkingOur client urgently needs a Data Governance Lead working directly for the Global CDO for a £multibillion organisation.With a new appoint of Chief Legal Officer, our CDO needs a professional to drive global data governance both tactical in the short term for compliance and strategically in the longer term.There will be a patchy data governance framework in place which would be the ideal we need a strategic thinker with a tactical delivery outlook. It is critical to get a data governance framework in place and define the RACI for the different teams across the business so all are clear about who should be doing which bits.Responsibilities and Experience:Strong Data management pedigree and backgroundDeep experience on all the elements surrounding data protection from a technical to businessYou will own and data governance, data retention policy enactment, data classification standards implementation, and input to frame the wider data operating model that needs to work with IT Security, Compliance, Legal, Privacy, and Data.Operationalise data governance through building a network of data stewards across the businessDrive activities relating to general data protection regulationDrive the agenda of the customer data group on behalf of the Global CDOWork closely with the Chief Data Privacy Officer where necessaryDemonstrate leadership and governance of data on a £multbillion/global scale.Protection of data from unauthorised use and governing information use within the businessIn particular facilitating new business uses through the information governance cycle to ensure data is creating value for the business.Data protection, information governance and customer privacy will require strong collaborative skills to build relationships with data ambassadors, information governance forum members, customer data councils and data and analytics steering board members.Become the SME on data protection and information governance matters on behalf of group CDO in partnership with legal Data Protection Officer (DPO) and IT complianceImplement training tools for GDPR data protection by design and default across the businessDevelop a network of business Data ambassadors, training them and supporting them in their data protection and information governance activities.Develop a programmatic and pragmatic privacy approach in partnership with the legal DPODevelop the next generation Privacy Dashboard, measures and performance measurement system in partnership with legal DPODrive a practical communications plan to drive awareness of data governance.
