This is a newly created role for a part time Personal Assistant / Office Manager to help support 2 Directors within a professional services SME in the Dorking area of Surrey. This role will be 20 hours a week (4 hours a day, 5 days a week) paying up to £55,000 pro rata. The candidate will predominantly be remote working, but be close enough to Dorking to come in on an “As & When” basis.
To be considered for this position, you will have previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Office Manager or Office Assistant. This role will be supporting 2 Directors, as well as HR, Accountancy and Sales admin & support.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • General support of 2 Directors
  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings, appointments and travel, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation
  • Updating the HR portal with weekly changes & updates
  • Help manage invoices, credit cards & expenses
  • Implementing new starter and leaver tasks & checklists
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefs as required
  • Run personal errands and manage household or personal tasks as needed
  • Liaise with clients, staff, and other stakeholders on behalf of the employer
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Assist with event planning, coordination & support
  • Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks or projects
Your experience will ideally also include using HR portals, accounting software, SharePoint files & Excel spreadsheets, as well as any experience using AI tools.
This will be a varied role where you will work across the business in multiple departments, so a confident & outgoing can-do attitude is essential. A solid understanding of professionalism, confidentiality & discretion is also an absolute must.
The successful candidate will work a total of 20 hours a week, doing 4 hours a day Monday to Friday. They are happy to accommodate 9am-1pm, 9:30a,-1:30pm, 10am-2pm or 10:30am-2:30pm hours to fit in-between school runs, but the role is 5 days a week. The Directors are happy for this person to be predominantly Work From Home based, but they must live relatively local to Dorking should they need to come into the office for in person meetings or projects. You would need a full driving licence & own transport to reach my client's office as they are NOT in the town centre or accessible via public transport.
