You’ll work closely with colleagues across the service, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and transform data from multiple sources.</li> <li>Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports that support performance monitoring and strategic planning.</li> <li>Collaborate with service managers, practitioners and senior leaders to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored data solutions.</li> <li>Communicate data insights clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders.</li> <li>Support the development of data models and performance frameworks aligned to service priorities.</li> </ul> <p>The role requires:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to produce and present accurate, clear and concise reports and management information in a variety of formats for different audiences.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work across multiple services areas or agencies.</li> <li>Ability to work as part of a team engaged in multiple projects, managing competing demands, and delivering work to tight timescales.</li> </ul> <p>To be considered for entry at grades J or K:</p> <ul> <li>Experience of using reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI, SSRS, SQL to extract and analyse information from databases.</li> <li>Experience of establishing and maintaining systems for the collection and interpretation of large, complex data sets.</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor the presentation of data/ intelligence for specific audiences to enable planning and decision-making.</li> </ul> <p>At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working.  For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.</p> <p>We welcome applications from residents and beyond, regardless of background, belief, or identity, recognising the value that diversity brings to our organisation.
