Selector - Order Picker

$18 - $30++ per hour Permanent Shift: Sunday-Thursday 12:00pm until finish

Responsibilities:

  • Selecting full case grocery and dairy products from warehouse pick slots using pallet jacks.
  • Product selection is directed using audio headsets then stacking product on pallets and labeling each case.
  • When pallet is complete, product is then wrapped in plastic wrap and moved to correct dock location to be loaded on truck

Requirements:

  • Location: Carlstadt, New Jersey (Meadowlands area)
  • $16 Training 2 week period: Sunday - Thursday 12:00pm - 8:30pm
  • Pre-shift safety check on equipment.
  • Work in multi-temperature environment
  • Meet weekly productivity standards and accuracy.
  • Constant standing, walking, bending and continuously lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to read alpha and numeric codes
  • No degree required but must be 18 years or older

Job Considerations:

Strength and Endurance: Cases may weigh as much as 60 pounds and may be stored from floor level to upper rack height of 60". Extended reach requirements to the back of a 48" long pallet may be necessary due to inaccessibility to the other three sides of the pallet, as well as the lengthwise orientation of the pallet in the rack. Carry distances may range from a few feet to several yards depending on where the forklift is positioned, and whether any obstructions exist in the aisle. Repeated lifts of heavy product, handing as much as 200 cases per hour and more than 1000 cases during a standard shift make this a moderate to heavy physical work position.
