There has also been a significant increase in numbers of pupils referred to the Medical Needs Panel by schools and agreed for tuition, this has led to an increased demand for the service which we should be able to continue to manage with this recruitment.

For an informal discussion, please contact Jenny Pearce on 07717302976 or Gavin Thomas on 07795336417

About the role

We are seeking Tutors, particularly for Secondary English and Science, who will work on a supply basis to provide education for vulnerable pupils, who are too ill to go to school, in the home or in the community and work with schools to reintegrate them back into education.

As a Tutor with Access to Education you will be working directly with these pupils, supported by the team and liaising with schools to ensure they are provided with an education that enables them to either re-integrate back to school or to move on to post 16 provision.

We work with all phases, but the majority of the children who access the provision are Key Stage 3 or 4.

This is an exciting opportunity to work one to one with pupils and to see their successful transition back into learning.

Please read our Apply for a job at the council pages carefully.
