Social Media Manager - (Remote, UK-based)

The Opportunity

A brand-new and exclusive opportunity has arisen to join an exciting, fast-growing luxury beauty tools e-commerce business as a Social Media Manager. This fully remote role is perfect for a creative and strategic social media professional with a passion for storytelling, content creation, and community engagement.

This brand operates in both B2C and B2B markets, selling directly via its Shopify e-commerce platform while also partnering with prestigious retailers such as Harrods, Fenwick, and luxury US department stores like Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for the entire social media function, working closely with the founders and marketing team to shape the brand’s digital voice, drive engagement, and elevate its industry presence. This role offers significant creative ownership, allowing you to bring fresh ideas to life, build an engaged community, and execute standout campaigns.


Role Overview

As the Social Media Manager, you will lead the brand’s social strategy and execution across key platforms, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand presence. You will also have the opportunity to position the founder as a thought leader in the beauty space, helping to manage their professional profile and industry engagement.

You’ll work as part of a collaborative marketing team, including a Marketing Manager, Paid Media Manager, and Creative, with additional support from a freelance designer/content creator two days a week.

This is a 360° social media role, requiring a hands-on, innovative approach to strategy, content creation, and engagement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Content Creation: Conceptualise, create, and execute engaging content (static, video, reels, stories, live streams, etc.), ensuring a consistent brand aesthetic and tone. A freelance designer will support you two days per week, but strong creative skills are essential.
  • Community Management: Engage with followers across all platforms, responding to comments, messages, and discussions in a timely and professional manner to foster a loyal community.
  • Influencer Partnerships: Identify, outreach, and collaborate with relevant beauty influencers to amplify brand awareness and drive engagement.
  • Founder Profile Management: Work closely with the founder to shape their social presence as a leading industry voice, curating content and supporting their engagement.
  • Trend Spotting & Platform Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and algorithm updates, ensuring the brand leverages new opportunities (e.g., TikTok trends, UGC, interactive content).
  • Social Scheduling & Performance Tracking: Plan, schedule, and manage content calendars while monitoring analytics to optimise engagement and growth.
  • Copywriting & Brand Storytelling: Write compelling, on-brand copy for social captions, campaign messaging, and influencer collaborations.
  • Creative Campaign Ideation: Develop and execute social-first marketing campaigns to drive engagement and brand awareness. If you enjoy presenting or being on camera, this could be an exciting opportunity to incorporate more direct audience engagement.

Who We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years’ experience in social media management, ideally within beauty, cosmetics, lifestyle, fashion, or a similar industry.
  • Strong experience in end-to-end social strategy, from ideation to execution, including campaign development and performance tracking.
  • Exceptional creative skills—experience with photography, videography, and editing tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube with a deep understanding of algorithms, trends, and best practices.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive content.
  • Experience with influencer partnerships, outreach, and collaborations.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small brand environment.
