We aim to create a genuine feel-good factor when it comes to personal credit.<br><br>We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives because Money never felt like Monzo ❤️<br><br>The primary goal of our Financial Health team is supporting customers tackling tough financial situations. It is essential that from the very start, we're on the same page about our collective responsibility: providing thoughtful support and practical options to those in need.<br><br>With your experience of developing credit risk strategies for collections and recoveries, you'll help to devise strategies that engage our customers and help them to get back to a sustainable financial position. You will be responsible for supporting the impact assessment of new financial health treatments and forecasting arrears portfolio movements across all of our products (Flex, personal loans and overdrafts). You will work with colleagues across Borrowing, Finance and Operational teams to make sure we are delivering value to our customers and the business through our Financial Health product offering.<br><br><strong>Your Day-to-day<br><br></strong><ul><li>Working on initiatives to improve our portfolio health by engaging and rehabilitating customers in financial difficulty</li><li>Supporting the design and roll-out of financial health strategies by finding patterns in the data and translating these into insights</li><li>Design and monitor impact assessment and forecasting models for financial health activities (payment plans, promises, customer engagement pre-arrears and in arrears)</li><li>Developing, maintaining and monitoring our credit models to assess net present value of arrears cohorts / segments to drive strategic business decisions</li><li>Working alongside people from engineering, marketing, product, risk and control to design and deliver product changes</li><li>Supporting the design and roll-out of new products and customer journeys</li><li>Assessing how the arrears portfolio will perform over time across products. Work with the Capital Impairment Forecasting team to input into budget and forecast on the arrears portfolio and ensure accurate forecasting.</li><li>Work with Operational teams to ensure accurate forecasting of Financial Health activities and related capacity requirements.<br><br></li></ul><strong>You Should Apply If<br><br></strong><ul><li>You have experience in unsecured retail lending (e.g. personal loans, credit cards, overdrafts, etc.) with exposure to managing customers in financial difficulty</li><li>You have an understanding of how the unsecured retail lending market works especially for distressed portfolios with customers in potential financial difficulty</li><li>You have strong analytical and data capabilities, backed up by technical coding skills. SQL is a must-have, Python and Looker experience is a plus.</li><li>You have a working understanding of the regulations that apply to lending in the UK, especially Consumer Duty.</li><li>You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are keen for the chance to improve our products and help ship changes to our customers</li><li>You are a strong communicator, able to cut through complex problems and articulate decision points</li><li>You have some experience in project management and coordination across teams</li><li>You work well collaborating in a team with diverse skill-sets </li><li>You are highly motivated and energised by the idea of bringing positive impact to our customers and Monzo<br><br></li></ul><strong>The Interview Process<br><br></strong>Our interview process involves 4 main stages:<br><br><ul><li>Recruiter call</li><li>Initial call</li><li>Take home task</li><li>Final stage (x3 interviews) consisting of a case study, role specific interview and values interview<br><br></li></ul>Our average process takes around 3-4 weeks but we will always work around your availability.
