Are you a Semi Senior Bookkeeper or Trainee Accountant with a focus on bookkeeping and Vat returns, looking to join a niche West End accountancy firm which specialises in working with high profile Creative, Media, Entertainment, Theatre, Fashion, Film & TV and Art Gallery clients? Do you have at least 2 years’ experience working for an accountancy firm and want to work in a very relaxed and informal office environment, which is very sociable and will also offer you a great work life balance? If so this entrepreneurial and forward thinking practice is looking to recruit a new Semi Senior Bookkeeper / Trainee Accountant in a newly created position (October 2025) where you will manage your own portfolio of clients and initially mainly carry out bookkeeping and VAT assignments, then after around 6 months you will be trained so you can start to prepare Ltd company statutory accounts, corporation and personal tax returns and management accounts for your client portfolio. You will mainly use Cloud based software such as Sage One and Xero as well as CCH for accounts production. The office atmosphere is very relaxed and easy going and would suit someone looking to work in a non-corporate atmosphere and achieve a good work life balance. The firm offers hybrid working, you will be based 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. The firm will also offer ACCA study support after the 3 moth probation period is passed.

To be considered for this interesting new position (October 2025), you must have at least 2 years’ experience (or more) working in an accountancy firm, in a role involving at least bookkeeping assignments and VAT returns. Experience of accounts preparation and tax returns is desirable but not essential as training will be provided in these areas. It is likely you will be studying for a professional qualification, likely the AAT or ACCA. This firm has had great success with candidate from small or medium firm backgrounds that want to work in a London based firm with interesting clients and a lovely West End based office. You must now be looking for your next challenge, and to join a niche practice where training will be provided where necessary. You must possess excellent communication skills, be a self starter and be able to work in a team and also independently. The firm will offer full study support for the AAT or ACCA after the 3 month probation period has been completed as well as a generous benefits package and progression within the firm.
