<p>The Principal Systems Engineer position is part of the Systems Engineering team within a leading UK-based technology company specializing in advanced radar solutions. This role involves working on both internally and externally funded systems projects that utilize cutting-edge solid-state radar technology.</p>

<p>The successful candidate will engage across the entire systems engineering lifecycle, from initial concept development through to system delivery and final acceptance.</p>

<strong>Key Experience:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Ideally educated to degree level in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline; however, equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.</li>
<li>Proven track record in systems design, integration, and testing, particularly in multidisciplinary environments.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the full systems and product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to final delivery.</li>
<li>Broad awareness of multiple engineering domains, including software, mechanical, and electrical engineering.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Key Requirements:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Solid understanding of radar and radio systems, including their principles, components, and operational applications</li>
<li>Extensive experience across the full product lifecycle, including concept generation, prototyping, development, production, and in-service support.</li>
<li>Broad knowledge of working with test facilities and conducting verification activities in accordance with external standards such as MIL-STD, Def Stan, and IEC.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience in developing and integrating systems that utilize various communication protocols (e.g., RS485, RS232, TCP/IP, CANBus).</li>
<li>Background in product development tailored for deployment on naval platforms.</li>
</ul>
