Overview

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team to make it drastically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to get and stay healthy. This position offers a blend of on-the-road independence and in-pharmacy teamwork, including kiosk management and work within our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive from physical Pharmacy locations to remote Pharmacy Kiosk locations with a company provided vehicle
  • Refill Pharmacy Kiosks with medication, paper, clean machine, and collect discarded inventory for return
  • Prepare inventory shipments for Kiosk replenishment
  • Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Work daily with Leadership to ensure the right medications are put in the right orders
  • Run automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications
  • Fill exception trays with appropriate medication
  • Transition Amazon Pharmacy orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control
  • Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items
  • Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes
  • Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time
  • Aid the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing
  • Clean and help maintain equipment and work areas within the pharmacy
  • Package medications for dispensing and for delivery
  • Work a flexible schedule - shifts may start and end outside normal site business hours

Working Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Shifts can last up to 12 hours
  • Driving for long periods (8+ hours)
  • Standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching
  • Lift and move products up to 49 lbs
  • Manual dexterity of hands and wrists

Basic Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License [FOR SPECIFIC STATES ONLY] or ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License within 30 days if required by State Board
  • Active and unrestricted in-state Driver's License
  • Clean driving record that passes Amazon's Motor Vehicle Checks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of experience working with computer and web-based tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor
  • Ability to read and understand English language labeling on product cartons and prescription labels

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Pharmacy technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
  • Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to recognize and identify patient medications
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining productivity and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $42,120/year in our lowest geographic market up to $60,008/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
