We have a great opportunity for a Payroll Operational Support to join our team in the Woking office. This is an opportunity to support the payroll bureau team by overseeing key operational workflows and tasks, ensuring the consistent and efficient delivery of a high-quality payroll service to external clients. We're looking for someone who takes pride in providing a reliable and professional operational service with efficiency and confidence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration or operations, be highly organised, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

You'll provide support to the Business Support Team by occasionally helping with welcoming visitors, answering calls, and keeping everything running smoothly from the front door to the meeting room.

Key Responsibilities

? Maintain and monitor the payroll workflow spreadsheet, ensuring it is regularly updated and actively managed by the wider team for smooth operations and clear visibility. ? Lead the onboarding process for new payroll clients by collecting essential data, coordinating internal workflows, and ensuring accurate data transfer to payroll processors. ? Manage the billing process for payroll clients ensuring timely invoicing, and handling client communications related to annual pricing reviews and adjustments. ? Provide support with pension scheme uploads and other related administrative tasks to ensure compliance and accurate reporting. ? Assist the senior payroll team with a variety of ad hoc tasks, including supporting internal projects such as marketing initiatives and operational improvements. ? Occasional assistance to support the business support team including answering phones, monitoring the main entrance and car park entry, greeting visitors and showing them to meeting rooms.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, demonstrate a proactive attitude, and be a quick learner. They should have a keen eye for detail and maintain high standards of accuracy in both written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is essential, along with excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Meeting deadlines consistently is a key requirement. Previous experience in administrative and operational roles, coupled with a proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and maintain meticulous attention to detail, is highly desirable.
  • Occasional travel to other UK offices may be required.
