Payroll Administrator, Handle Payroll Solutions

Hybrid - 3 days in Farringdon office

Handle Freelance Solutions was established in 2014 and has become the preferred outsourced payroll and compliance solution for an impressive base of Media, Entertainment and Fashion brands.

A Payroll Administrator at Handle supports the team by prepping all payroll data accurately and within tight deadlines to enable them to deliver the payrolls and payment of salaries for all temporary workers over multiple payrolls and various pay frequencies and in accordance with Government legislation. Weekly payroll experience is essential.

Key duties include:

  • Accurately checking and processing temporary workers timesheets for multiple high volume payrolls over various pay frequencies.

  • Accurately checking new worker details, maintaining compliance checks including passport & visa vetting requirements etc, and importing worker details into the relevant payroll system.

  • Recording any changes to these details which will affect the payroll -pay rate changes, bank details, limited company and invoicing details etc in the timesheet billing system (InTime).

  • Providing excel reports detailing shifts worked, pay and charge rates to be processed, expenses claimed and highlighting all exceptions and anomalies.

  • Checking of all payroll reporting

  • Providing a timely response to the large volume of payroll enquires over multiple shared mailboxes.

  • Processing holiday pay, performing holiday calculations and entering onto the payroll systems.

  • Maintaining the leaver's process- removal from payroll system, paying accrued holiday balances and issuing of P45s after 12 weeks inactivity.

  • Updating tax codes, processing starter's declaration forms, P45s etc and reporting to HMRC on a weekly/monthly basis.

  • Providing additional payroll/administration support to the Payroll Manager as required.

  • Ideally have knowledge of but not limited to InTime and In Pay, extensive training will be given on all our payroll systems and databases.

Experience

  • You have at least 18 months of working in a payroll/admin role - you are numerate and have a high level of accuracy and a competent user of MS Office packages including excel and word.

  • You will have experience of or similar experience to demonstrate you can handle the high demands of a weekly payroll, be highly organised and possess a strong eye for detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines. A strong team member, willingness to provide support to others within the team.

  • Excellent time management. Used to delivering your work within tight deadlines.

  • Must have great communication skills and be an effective relationship builder both internally and externally with contractors and clients.

  • A confident communicator - you know your subject matter and people come to you for advice.
