Job Purpose and Overview

The main purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact for our clients and to handle calls and visitors to our Reception areas in a friendly and efficient manner. This is a part time position, working half a day Tuesday afternoon and 2 full days, Thursday and Friday across our Sutton and Mansfield offices with additional ad-hoc cover where required.

The ideal candidate will be well presented, outgoing and customer focused with a genuine passion for delivering a customer service that is second to none. You will have the ability to manage high call volumes, will deliver exceptional customer service and may be expected to help with other admin duties where required.

Key tasks and Accountabilities

  • Answering and transferring calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Meeting and greeting clients as they attend the office, along with arranging appointments for other members of the team
  • Dealing with client queries via the telephone and face-to-face
  • Taking bill payments
  • Housekeeping of the Reception area and meeting rooms
  • Assisting with incoming and outgoing post
  • Working with an advanced IT infrastructure

Person Specification

  • Previous experience working as a Receptionist would be an advantage, however full training will be provided on our systems
  • Good telephone skills with a friendly and approachable manner, keen to generate an excellent first impression
  • Good written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail with a methodical approach to all tasks
  • Team player who sees helping others as a fundamental part of the role
  • Good IT skills in order to enable the postholder to quickly learn our systems
  • A willingness to learn

Salary and benefits

  • We offer a competitive salary within a salary scale that allows ongoing progression
  • A starting annual leave entitlement of 31 days (including bank holidays) increasing by a further 2 weeks with service (pro rated for part time staff)
  • Full-time hours which are lower than many employers at 35 hours per week over Monday to Friday
  • We operate a non-contractual bonus scheme which you will benefit from after completion of our settling in period

This role will be based at our Regent Street office in Mansfield town centre and at our Low Street office in the centre of Sutton in Ashfield.
