Position Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and compassionate Registered Nurse to step into the role of Director of Clinical Operations. This leadership position is critical for steering our clinical services, ensuring exceptional patient care, and guiding our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned home health expert who thrives on building efficient systems, mentoring staff, and upholding the highest standards of compliance and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and clinical leadership for the home health agency's service delivery.
  • Ensure all clinical operations and patient care activities adhere to federal (CMS), state (CDPH), and accreditation standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of clinical managers, nurses, and therapists to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Spearhead quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives, analyzing patient data and outcomes to enhance service quality.
  • Manage the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and educational programs.
  • Serve as the primary clinical liaison for physicians, community partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the clinical review of patient eligibility, care plans, and documentation integrity to ensure reimbursement compliance.
  • Drive operational efficiency by optimizing workflows, resource allocation, and service delivery models.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a home health setting, with direct responsibility for clinical operations.
  • In-depth, working knowledge of home health regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and OASIS-E documentation.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a clinical team, with exceptional interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in budgeting, financial management, and operational metrics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
