Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting best practices in food preparation and safety.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • A passion for cooking and creating innovative dishes that delight customers.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
