<p id="isPasted">Responsible for reviewing offense reports and transferring reports into the Record Management System (RMS) and Uniform Crime Report (UCR) system. Assist with entry, modification, cancellation, and validation of articles and guns in the National and Texas Crime Center database—ability to exercise good discretionary authority and work with minimal supervision and instructions.  The Reporting Systems Clerk will access confidential and sensitive information and organize, maintain, and order office supplies. Interact with Bureau Assistants, the general public, and service providers.</p><p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Maintains filing system of memoranda, letters, documents, and other materials for assigned duty section.</li><li>Answers telephones, takes messages, provides information, and refers inquiries to appropriate locations.</li><li>Types and distributes reports and correspondence; enters computer data.</li><li>Complies with civil service, departmental, bureau, and division rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Communicate effectively and liaise successfully with multiple organizations and businesses, including law enforcement agencies and the public.</li><li>Comply with expunction orders.</li><li>Assists in training others on specific issues within the assigned duty section.</li><li>Assembles, organizes, and tabulates data and develops charts, graphs, and tables.</li><li>Coordinate work between organizational units of the department.</li><li>Occasionally function as section leader when designated by a competent authority.</li><li>Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.</li><li>Keep track of Calendars and schedule meetings.</li><li>Routinely complete payroll duties.</li><li>Performs other assignments and duties as required and/or necessary.</li></ul><p>This Job Description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this position.  The unit supervisor may, at their discretion, assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: rgb(223, 53, 12);">This position is for current HCSO employees only.
