Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Part-Time Tap room Bartender to join our dynamic team at Durham Beer Garden. As a Bartender, you will play a key role in creating a memorable experience for our patrons by providing exceptional service and serving deliciously crafted beverages. (2.15/hr plus tip share) Average tips range per hour per person $25-$45/hr (take home pay) FRI 2:30PM-1AM/SAT 3-1AM/SUN 3-11pm

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Greet and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take orders, provide recommendations, and answer inquiries about the beer and other beverages offered.

Mixology:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of craft beers, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of all drinks served.

Payment Handling:

  • Accurately processing payments.
  • Keep track of tabs and settle them at the end of each customer's visit.

Cleanliness and Organization:

  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
  • Monitor and restock bar supplies as needed.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and legal guidelines.
  • Verify the age of customers to ensure legal drinking age requirements are met.

Requirements: Must be able to lift 50lb, be on your feet for extended periods of time. Previous Bartending experience.

Experience:

  • Previous bartending experience is mandatory.
  • Knowledge and experience with craft beers/wine/cocktails.

Customer-Focused:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Team Player:

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation.

Availability:

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Legal Requirements:

  • Must be of legal drinking age.
  • Responsible Beverage Service Training and certification is an asset.
