Additional Needs Base Assistant

£90 daily rate
Hours:
08:15am- 15:15pm (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our Specialised Additional Needs Base, supporting pupils aged 11–14 with a range of complex needs including:

  • Down syndrome
  • Global developmental delay
  • Dyspraxia
  • ADHD

This is a full-time, term-time role supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to stay on track with their learning while offering the patience, encouragement and care they need to thrive.

You will work in-class alongside teachers, supporting pupils with differentiated tasks, assisting with communication needs, and helping them build confidence and independence.

✅ Confident supporting pupils with a range of learning and emotional needs
✅ Comfortable working 1:1 or with small groups in a classroom setting
✅ Committed to inclusion and passionate about helping young people reach their potential

Experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable, but not essential for the right person with a great attitude and willingness to learn.
